Films for Auto-Bagging Machines

NEUTECH Packaging Systems can find the right film, gauge, and features to guarantee top packaging performance.  Below you will find the list of E-Z Bag films available for use with Sharp Packaging's Auto Bagging Machines.

Description: Sharp's unique "multiple layer" film provides unique application benefits not available in traditional mono layer film. With outstanding puncture resistance, bags of multi-layer film cost less, especially in bag sizes larger than 5x7, and gauges greater than .0025. This film allows the customer to "down gauge" from conventional LDPE which will yield more bags per roll (less downtime, due to changeover). Less freight costs will be realized and less space is needed to warehouse inventory. Co-extruded films with an HD inner layer allows for scratch resistance and easy loading of glass or rubber parts. These custom films are the future of flexible packaging because the unique layers can be mixed and matched to provide performance and benefits for demanding packaging applications. Film type and layer thickness determine performance.
Applications: Gaskets, glass, jewelry, silverware, fasteners, hardware, automotive parts, kit packaging, some frozen foods.

E-Z Shield Bags ESD (Electro-Static Dissipative)

Description: A transparent electrostatic protective buried metal, heat sealable, flexible structure offering excellent electro-static shielding properties. Sharp ESD bags can be printed or imprinted to eliminate costly labels.

MAP (Modified Atmospheric Packaging)

Description: Sharp's "breathable" film for select produce applications is a custom-engineered, 3 layer film which creates a high quality "active package" with impressive oxygen transmission rates (OTR's) of 200 to 600. This film provides outstanding clarity and printability, incomparable durability and package integrity, low seal initiation temperature for high speed V/F/F/S applications, excellent breathability (optimum O2 and CO2 respiration rates). Standard gauges are .002 and .0025. Call us for a sample.
Applications: Cut lettuce, cole slaw, mushrooms, and other select produce.

Anti-Stat

Description: This film is made using new technology which substantially improves the anti-static characteristics over the previous pink poly films. Its barrier properties allow for fast and complete dissipation of the electrostatic charge and it does not require the presence of humidity for the anti-static properties to function. Humidity independence assures stable, long-term static protection regardless of the climate conditions. It is non-contaminating thru direct contact or out gassing because it does not contain amines. It is non-corrosive to packaged parts because it does not contain moisture attracting ethyloxalated tertiary amines. This film is extremely durable under normal handling, and can be used to manufacture both plain and printed bags. Film is available in tinted colors and is transparent for easy product identification.
Applications: Packaging of static sensitive components or where electrostatic, static dissipative and triboelectric contamination is a problem.

VCI Dri-Bag

Description: This is a special type of packaging film developed to prevent corrosion of ferrous metals without the need for rust preventative coatings. Eliminate the need for expensive and messy greasing/degreasing procedures. VCI - Dri-bags is not a coating, but incorporates a blend of volatile corrosive inhibitors that are an integral component of the film, which through vapor emittance and contact, counteract the corrosive effects of moisture, salt and pollutants. It does not out gas and is free of sodium nitrate. Film is available in tinted colors and is transparent for easy product identification.
Applications: Eliminates the need for expensive and messy greasing/degreasing procedures.  Ideal for machine parts and tools, bearings, stamping, hardware, engines, valves, precision gauges, and instruments and much more.

LDPE (Low Density Polyethylene)

Description: LDPE remains the most versatile and lowest cost film for packaging. Clarity is very good, but not comparable to polypropylene. The shelf life values are restricted to a product not sensitive to moisture, oxygen or ultraviolet light.
Applications: Broad general uses for soft goods, hard goods, any type of clarity packaging.

SPHD (High Density Polyethylene)

Description: This multilayer material is very durable. This stiff, strong film, and high haze levels provides moderate clarity and its smooth surface is ideal for printing.
Applications: Heavy duty hardware, shrink film applications, excellent for thermal transfer print.

Polypropelene

Description: Copolymer polypropylene provides stronger heat seals than a homo polymer polypropylene. Its sparkling clarity and good barrier properties make this a good choice for retail packaging.
Applications: Retail, food, candies, textiles, bakery, stationery, novelties and plastic
cutlery, or any applications that require excellent clarity.

Barrier

Description: This specialty film is available either as a metalized or clear polyester film, laminated to a 3 layer co-extruded film providing excellent sealing characteristics, restricted content visibility (metalized) and improved MVTR protection.
Applications: Major advantages are realized in medical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications.

Extreme Film

Description: Sharp's "Extreme Films" available in white opaque and clear, are 10% - 15% less expensive, and have been designed to perform beyond your expectations. Our Extreme film offers excellent clarity in the clear film, for customer appeal and retail display. These films provide outstanding puncture, resistance for sharp parts. Our Extreme films allow you to "down gauge" from your existing bag, which equates to more bags per roll, and less downtime due to changeover, reduced freight costs, and less space needed to warehouse inventory.
Applications: Ideal for fasteners, hardware, kits packaging, automotive and machine parts and any application where puncture resistance is necessary.

E-Z Stat

Description: Used for packaging of static sensitive components where electrostatic, static dissipative and triboelectric contamination is a problem. E-Z™ Stat dissipates electrical build up, thus protecting products from static.
Applications: Protection of electrical components and kits, static-sensitive materials, any application where static dissipation is required.

HD Mailer

Description: This co-extruded multilayer material provides excellent opacity to protect the contents from being punctured or viewed.
Applications: Fulfillment and mail order, or any confidential materials

Poly Mail E-Z Bags

Applauded by the US Postal Service, Sharp's Poly Mail E-Z Bags® from NEUTECH Packaging Systems are manufactured from a specially engineered, multiple layer film for improved performance, better economics and are designed for privacy and toughness. E-Z mailer bags on a continuous roll will help reduce manual labor costs, material costs of other mailers, and postage costs due to lighter packaging. They have a professional look and feel. A vertical perforation can be added for EZ opening by the recipient. Plain mailer bags can be shipped from stock, or bags can be custom manufactured to your specifications, with print up to 6 colors. Closure of Poly Mail E-Z Bags® requires a heat sealing packaging machine for tamper resistance.  Applications include internet supply and fulfillment centers, catalog and mail houses, corporate mail rooms, pharmaceutical mail order, or clothing apparel mail order.
 

Stretch Sleeves

Manufactured from special engineered film with "memory" guaranteed to perform. Sharp Packaging Stretch Sleeves from NEUTECH Packaging Systems offer an exact, snug fit to customer supplied bottles.

Sharp Packaging Stretch Sleeves from NEUTECH Packaging Systems offer award winning flexographic printing, accurate color match from run to run, precise, tight registration, excellent, fine type clarity and screenwork, and six color process printing capabilities.  They are available in many varieties, including perforated on rolls, for automatic, semi-automatic, or manual labeling applications, and in clear or opaque films.

Cut your unit bag costs in half and double your packaging rates by using Sharp's compartment or dual load bags from NEUTECH Packaging Systems.  Ideal for separating components within a package for protecting parts, i.e. plastic parts from scratching a polished metal part. In applications where only one item is being loaded, an operator can load and seal two bags at a time, effectively doubling their packaging rates.

A compartment bag has more than one, individual and fillable compartments to receive and package separate parts or components. Compartment bags have a lap seal between the fillable portions. They are designed with the customer's unique application in mind. They can be manufactured with a tear-apart vertical perforation down the middle of the seal, which enables the compartments to be separated manually at a later time, or as a double-load bag utilizing a special perforation so that the bags virtually separate by themselves after being loaded.

This retail display film is uniquely custom-engineered, and blends the economics of polyethylene with the characteristics of polypropylene; mainly clarity, stiffness, and linear tear properties.  By combining your art and the E-Z film's graphic capabilities, you can dazzle the consumer with an appealing package that is sure to enhance your product.  Retail display E-Z Bags® can be converted in sizes from 2" up to 30" wide and 3" to unlimited length. Any number of features can be combined to create an attractive package that is unique to your needs.
